I’m not actually a very big fan of tango. There, I’ve said it. It’s very impressive to see, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to watch a show, and my entire time here I have never actually paid to see anybody dance it.
Having said that, I have written another post over on Medellin Living and this time it’s about tango.
I agree with you. Tango was the thing, say, back in 1913, in the North of France — one of those seaside places where it all started. Then it was London with the Astaires, and that was it. Perhaps we can add Geraldo Bright and his Tango Gaucho Orchestra. — Yet… there’s something unique about the tango that even Julie Andrews, in the leat Argentine of contexts (i”The Boy Friend”) manages to capture it!
