I’m back in the UK for a few weeks and have been playing with my new camera – it’s got lots of fancy, fiddly settings which I am trying to get to grips with. One preset function I have been having a lot of fun with is the tilt-shift setting, which basically focusses the centre of the picture whilst blurring the top and bottom, giving the image the look and feel of a model. Here are some taken from the top of Conwy Castle which I think work pretty well.

Hello Gringo. Which camera are you using? I thought that tilt shift was only possible through processing via Photoshop, etc. I did not know that it was an optional setting in some cameras. It is quite a nice tool.
Hi Mark – it’s a Canon SX30 IS – it also has a fisheye setting, colour replace, a 35x Optical Zoom and quite a few other fancy little things – it’s a lot of fun!
I simply dont believe that you went to Conwy without calling in on us you git!! Kidding….yes those pics make it look like a model village indeed!Did you pay £2 to go into what the welsh believe to be the world’s smallest house on the harbour-front?? That would have made a good pic…a tiny house ( model – like ) made to look like a tiny house ( model-like )…could go on…best not!
